Section "Display mode"
In terms of performance, we are primarily interested in two options.
Display mode - be sure to select "Full Screen". This should offer much better performance than other options (without the burden of transparency from Windows).
Vertical synchronization has a significant impact on performance, but in a very specific way. The scheme of working with this option is as follows:
If you have problems with the image (for example, layering), turn on synchronization.;
If you have problems with the "delay&"or a significant drop in FPS - turn off sync;
However, in the case of ArmA, we strongly recommend that you set it to "ON".
It can make FPS a little less, but it will be much more stable. Moreover, in the case of "cuts", the game will still receive motion signals for our character (due to the pre-rendering of frames, which is closely related to vertical synchronization).
"Post-Processing Section"
Blooming has little effect on performance, but the glow reduces the sharpness and clarity of the edges, so (and because of the greater contrast between the exposed surfaces) it can tire the eyes. Recommended value: 0 - 50.
Radial blur - all blur effects are separate from "blurriness": stunning, blinding, distortion, pain and many other effects from the main game and fashion are based on this setting: here the parameter should be set to 50-80, the effect on efficiency is basically zero (that's what the map is counting on).
Equipment is a separate topic. It's expensive, so new players are unlikely to use it, but as the game progresses, it's worth investing in. In the chapter on how to use and change equipment, we describe this aspect of the game.
Motion blur is a popular "motion blur" associated with blurring an image at high speed. As for performance, it mainly hits the card, but also the processor to a small extent, the recommended value is 0 for performance, 50-70 for a more enjoyable gameplay (but again: it tires the eyes faster).
Depth of field is an imitation of focusing the lens of the eye... it is definitely set to 0. It is a pity to waste performance for this unrealistic and very tedious effect, which additionally makes the screens and the image in the game simply blurry.
The focus filter is the so-called "Brightness Boost". Explore our library and download blues music in lossless quality from legendary artists and new talents.
